Cali's BB Mannequins
********************

Update 19/3/05
**************

Hopefully this will be the last update. There was a conflict between this mod and Qarl's The Underground where he had placed a building in the exact same spot as my storeroom so I have moved it along slightly from it's original position.

Update 19/11/04
***************

Updated the meshes to use the latest Seamless BB 2.1 meshes, so big thanks to Erstam for his work on making them seamless. There will probably be a 2.2 release of BB in the future which incorporates the seamless mesh, baring any major changes to BB between now and then this mod should be compatible with all clothing made for 2.1 and above.

Update 21/7/04
**************

Fixed a bug with the male mannequins that stopped them equipping medium armour. If you had the previous version installed you will get an error message when loading a saved game, this will go when you resave.

********************************************************************************************

Based on the original wooden Armor Mannequin mod by Chris Janosi but using the Better Bodies Models instead.

Like the original they are fully moveable and static when placed but unlike the original there are both male and female versions, ten of each.

This mod does not require Better Bodies to run, nor does it require Tribunal or Bloodmoon.

Just unzip to the data files directory.

Where to find them
******************

One thing i liked about the original was that they were free for the taking, so these are the same but instead of dotting them all over the place i have put them in a storeroom in Hla Oad.

Known Bugs/Limitations
----------------------

- SkipAnim isn't perfect, so you might see the occasional frame glitch. Doesn't effect anything. Just visual error.

- When placing the mannequin, he's always facing away from you. I had code to correct this, but he would always turn away again whenever you loaded a savegame. It has something to do with the engine, at least I'm pretty sure. Take a look at the code if you want. I have the rotation stuff commented out.

- If you place the Mannequin near an NPC, his head will track the NPC. No way around this, as the engine is telling the model to rotate the head 'bone/nurb'. If you delete the nurb in 3DSMax, I bet you get a game error (haven't tried).

- I can figure NO WAY of testing for inventory size on the mannequin when you go to move him. The problem is this: If you move the mannequin and he has things in his inventory, they dissappear. The only way to put things infront of the player is to create a new instance of the object and destroy the old one, as the Posistion function doesn't take variables. I didn't feel like writing countless IF statements to check what types of stuff you had stored.

- As you can't set ownership of NPCs, you can steal these guys from right under people's noses. FUN!

- Again, the not being able to buy thing. I dont think you can sell either.

Misc.
-----
WARNING: Again, remove all items before moving mannequin. Please dont complain if you lose anything. Their is no weight variable that you can check. You also don't want to use "Dispose of Corpse" as this will remove the mannequin completely from the game. You'll get your armor back this way, but you won't get the mannequin.

- If you want to add more mannequins to the game, you need to create a new one. Follow these steps:

- Rename any "mannequin_placeholder" to anything you want, probably "mannequin_placeholder_number" as you can see I did. When asked if you want to create a new object, select yes. Do the same to the manikin (wrong spelling, i Know) NPC.

- Open the script dialog, and go to one of the "script_mannequin_placeholder" scripts, hightlight it all and copy, select a new script, and paste. Make sure to change all references to the number of the mannequin to the new number you've created. Then change the script associated with both the placeholder and mannequin.

- Drag the new mannequin NPC to wherever and enjoy!

Usage and Permissions
*********************

If you wish to use these mannequins for your own mod feel free, I would ask that id's be changed (see above about creating new mannequins) to help avoid conflicts with other mods.

If you wish to retexture them then feel free but once again I ask that you make them unique meshes and textures so as not to overwrite my own or other people's textures, I like mine wooden and don't want to install a mod and suddenly find them something else.

I understand that for the purposes of creating a mod using these mannequins merging with your own mod might be the easiest solution, this is okay so long as all the things from my own mod other than the mannequins are removed using a mod cleaning utility. I have already once had to move my shack to be compatible with The Underground I do not wish to find it in other mods if it will pose a problem again in future as I have no way of fixing those.

If you wish to host this mod then please ask permission first as I like to know where my mods are in case of updates.
